DesignWorks were commissioned by Fáilte Ireland to create the brand identity and toolkit for the South & East of Ireland – a key visitor offering described as “5000 years of European history easily accessed at your own pace”.

The brand concept had to resonate with a key overseas audience – the culturally curious – and motivate local tourism industry and communities in order to bring the brand promise to life.

Ireland’s Ancient East was officially launched at Fáilte Ireland’s international trade fair, Meitheal, in April 2015. Unveiled by The Minister for Tourism, Transport and Sport Paschal Donohoe T.D., the identity supports a compelling visitor offer for the region, with a clear basis of comparative advantage – the ultimate aim being delivery of sustainable growth.
