Bord Bia Bloom exists to cultivate new and existing ‘Fans for Life’ – for Irish horticulture, food and drink. A hallmark of the June Bank Holiday weekend, the family, food and gardening festival is also a signature event for Bord Bia, attracting over 100,000 visitors.

DesignWorks recreated the identity for Bloom as part of the Bord Bia brand change programme. The master-brand approach was developed to ensure that Bord Bia benefits directly from the recognition and reputation of its many initiatives and events. The festival identity was evolved to become ‘Bord Bia Bloom’ – a confident expression of the agency’s role.

The identity was delivered with management guidelines, hero imagery, and marketing activation materials. After a two-year hiatus due to Covid, during which the new identity was embedded in online and social channels, the 2022 festival made a successful return to the Phoenix Park.

We delivered event signage guidelines, templates and artworks and redeveloped the signature awards – providing leading gardeners, designers and community groups with award assets to help communicate their successes, whilst continuing to build equity and interest in Bord Bia Bloom.
