Bord Bia Bloom is Ireland’s largest and most spectacular Family, Food and Gardening Festival. A hallmark of the June Bank Holiday weekend, it is also a signature event for Bord Bia, attracting over 100,000 visitors.

DesignWorks created the identity for Bloom as part of the Bord Bia brand change programme and evolved the festival to become ‘Bord Bia Bloom’ – providing a clearer and more confident expression of the agency’s role. Originally created to promote plants, garden design, horticulture and gardening, Bord Bia’s role in promoting food and drink has allowed the show to develop into a world-class festival with nature and sustainable living at its heart.

After a two-year hiatus due to Covid, during which the new identity was embedded in online and social channels, the 2022 festival made a successful return to the Phoenix Park. Our role grew again in 2023 to comprise a full audit and expansion of the brand throughout the 70 acre festival site, and an all-encompassing suite of communications for audiences ranging from garden designers, sponsors and exhibitors to the general public.

The festival map and event guide, show garden guide, signage scheme and promotional campaigns were delivered by DesignWorks, along with guidelines for sponsors and exhibitors, and awards packs - all within a robust and uniquely playful identity that continues to build equity and interest in Bord Bia Bloom.
